room now holds the piano that belonged to William A. Ramsey's family, the gentleman who Ramsey Lake in Sudbury is named after. The Heritage Room also now features a revolving display that is changed quite often during the summer months. To see what's going in the Heritage Room this month, check out our Events.

In this room, the history of the railroad companies in Northern Ontario are showcased through videos, photographs and numerous artifacts.
A large assortment of mining tools and artifacts fill this room that tell interesting stories of how things were in the past.
Sudbury owes its existence primarily to the rich ore deposits found in the area. These deposits consist primarily of sulphides of nickel, copper and iron along with significant amounts of precious metals.
